Scope of work
1.Supervision and leadership:
o Oversee and manage the field activities and the Community Mobilization in the Camp locations to ensure smooth operation in implementation of activities on the ground.
o Lead and coordinate all PSS wellbeing activities, awareness raising, youth initiatives and other activities implementation to ensure smooth operation in implementation in PO.
o Ensuring all services are progressive, proactive, and responsive to community needs.
o Ensure that the PSS and Peace Building weekly and monthly work plans are realistic and in line with the overall program goals, work plan, and budget.
o Provide the compilation and maintenance of accurate program records and documents including assets distributed, activities, workshops and training conducted, and site visits made.
o Ensure that program data for the specific office are entered into the program databases and is correct and up to date.
o Develop tracking tools as necessary to help the program team monitor and evaluate program progress and activities as it relates to program activities.
o Monitor activities and make readjustments as necessary in consultation with the Program Manager.
o Prepare weekly, monthly reports and final reports on activities progress, constraints and suggestions for improved performance and submit to Program Coordinator.
o Lead, supervise, support and develop staff and volunteers, so they undertake their work by organizational and program priorities, policy, and procedures.
o Provide leadership to support the strategic planning and quality improvement PO services.
o Develop strong team relationships, fostering positive relationships with PO staff and other colleagues.
o Act in Manager, Peace Oasis role as required
o Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.
2.Coordination:
o Develop and maintain positive working relationships to strengthen existing and develop new programs with external stakeholders such as youth services, community organizations, schools and government departments.
o Participate in program meetings including weekly working group discussions, Camp Management & Coordination meetings, staff meetings to ensure inter and intra-program communications and proper planning.
o Develop and maintain working relationships with the key community leaders, government officials, and beneficiaries
3.Logistics and financial tasks:
o Ensure budgets are met by achieving set revenue targets, and managing controllable costs/expenses
o Ensure that requests to finance, procurement including internal requisitions and travel advances are accurate in line with the budget and program activities and submitted in a timely manner.
o ensure program supplies and inputs are purchased in an efficient and timely fashion.
o Prepare procurement documents related to training and activities in consultation with the procurement and logistics department.
o Prepare monthly cash projections in consultation with the program Coordinator and finance officer.
Qualifications:
o BCs degree preferably in Psychology, Education or relevant Major.
o 2-3 years of proven experience in working with children and youth.
o Good English skills, spoken and written.
o Good communication and coordination skills.
o Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and the internet ).
o Good organizational and prioritization skills.
o Self-awareness and proven ability to operate successfully in different cultural environments.
o Ability to achieve results and maintain consistent high standards of professional behavior and achievement, including when working alone.
o Ability to manage stress, flexible and accommodating in difficult and frustrating working circumstance.
o Good reporting skills.
o Excellent writing skills.
Conditions:
The regular working hours with LWF in Jordan are from 8:00am to 4:00 pm from Sunday to Thursday (40 hours per week). The flex-time policy allows arranging work hours within ½ hour either side of these core hours.
